Strategic Reasoning

Paddlers need to understand the power of moving water and how to avoid objects, as well as, what to do if they are unable to avoid the object.

If the water is shallow and you fall in, all you have to do is stand up.
Rivers will just keep pushing you down stream.

Use of various types of white water boats to challenge each student.
Use of a mask and breaking down skills into parts.
