SWBAT understand the proper usage of the patch, the shot, the pill, the IUD, and the condom.
SWBAT give 3 things a person should consider when choosing which type of contraceptive to use.

What are the common types of contraceptives that people use today and how are they used?
H.1.9 Analyze factors that increase the risk of contracting communicable diseases
H.1.11 Compare and contrast abstinence to other forms of contraception to reduce risks of disease/unintended pregnancy
Purpose: To learn about the various types of contraceptives available and how they work in preventing the spread of pregnancy and STI's.

Students will complete a chart with information about each contraceptive method covered.
Students will complete a shich is which activity which incluides a picture of the contraceptive and an explanation and students match it to the appropriate name.
Students will match the contraceptive to the place that it is available.
