Lesson Objective
Students will design an advocacy strategy using digital media tools to address a transnational crisis.
How can non-state actors influence global politics? How has the internet democratized global civic voice?

Day 17: Case study of a successful international advocacy campaign.
Day 18: The power of digital blogging and social media in global activism.
Day 19: Preparing an international advocacy campaign brief.
Day 20: In-class structured debate on international NGO effectiveness.
Students analyze current global advocacy blogs. Working in pairs, they build a sample advocacy blog post utilizing hyperlinks, data visualizations, and persuasive rhetoric.

Provide step-by-step tech guides for blogging tools; student-chosen topics for personal connection.
Publication of a collaborative advocacy blog post proposal.
