Unit 2: Global Citizenship

Students will know how to navigate the modern global-socio-political climate. Students will develop an understanding of different perspectives regarding the world around them. Students will know how to analyze contemporary global issues while recognizing media bias and distinct points of view.
Students will study real-world global problems and investigate different cultural and political perspectives. Students will engage in structured peer discussions and use digital tools for blogging or argumentative writing. Students will utilize internet access to continuously gather news from diverse multimedia platforms.

Students will demonstrate learning by analyzing complex texts and completing rigorous reading assignments.

Students will express their insights through structured debates and written blogs addressing global citizenship.
