Students will understand that responses to music are informed by analysis, context, performance practice, and personal perspective. They will understand how musical elements, diction, text, and expressive choices contribute to interpretation and evaluation.
Students will listen to, analyze, interpret, compare, and evaluate performances, with emphasis on ensemble performance, vocal communication, and stylistic understanding.
Students demonstrate learning through listening analysis, discussion, written reflection, peer critique, rehearsal feedback, and evaluation of performances using musical evidence.
