Unit 1: Course Description

Grade 8 Low Strings is a sectional-based course for students who play cello, bass and/or viola.

Students focus on refining instrument-specific technique, tone quality, articulation, left hand vs. right facility, and music reading skills.

Emphasis is placed on individual musicianship, ensemble awareness, and performance skills through targeted instruction and small-group rehearsals.
