Unit 1: COURSE DESCRIPTION

Voice Group 7 is designed for students who have strong singing ability and previous choral experience.

In this class, students will continue developing healthy vocal technique while learning more advanced choral skills such as singing in multiple parts, improving pitch accuracy, and strengthening music reading abilities. Students will study and perform choral music from a variety of styles, cultures, and time periods. The class focuses on ensemble collaboration, musical expression, and developing confidence as a performer.

Students will demonstrate their learning through active participation in rehearsals where they apply strong vocal technique, accurate pitch, rhythm, and part singing within the ensemble. Students will practice greater vocal independence by singing their assigned parts in small groups. Students will demonstrate their learning through prepared performances at school concerts and community events.
