Unit 1: Course Description

Grade 7 Low Strings is a sectional-based music course for students who play cello, bass and/or viola.

Students focus on developing instrument-specific technique, tone quality, articulation, finger facility, left hand vs right hand mechanics and music reading skills.

Emphasis is placed on improving individual performance skills, ensemble awareness, and musicianship through targeted instruction and small-group performance experiences.
