Unit 1: Course Description

7th Grade Concert Orchestra is a continuation of the middle school orchestra program designed to help students further develop their skills on a string instrument such as violin, viola, cello, or double bass.

Students will continue to build music reading and rhythm skills while learning scales, bowing exercises, musical vocabulary and a variety of orchestra repertoire.

Emphasis is placed on developing good practice habits, listening skills, and the ability to play together as an ensemble.
