Description/Purpose: Focuses on individual mastery of instrument skills to prepare students for ensemble performance.

Students may believe speed is more important than accuracy.
Students may not realize that consistent tone requires daily practice.

Provide alternate fingerings or exercises for struggling students.
Offer advanced warm-ups or extended scales for accelerated students.
