-Learn the cultural differences of how friends and family in Spanish-speaking countries often greet each other in formal and informal settings.
-Students will compare vocabulary and phrases used for cultural greetings and compare it with the English.
Practice using expressions and gestures to greet and say
goodbye to peers and the teacher.
-English learners: build background, explain cultural differences used when greeting
(example: shake hands, hug, or a kiss on the cheek)
-Interpersonal: Have students work with a partner to develop a short role-play. Partners
should greet each other, ask how they are and say good bye.
