Students will:
-Review vocabulary associated with Africa's geography, history, politics/civics and economics.
-Describe the political and physical features of Africa.
-Infer how climate impacts people’s lives in Africa.
-Evaluate how Africa's countries use natural resources.
-Evaluate regions of Africa for it's the political and physical geography
-Examine the rise and fall of early African kingdoms by explaining their origin, sources of wealth, forms of leadership, and reasons for decline.
-Explain the history of the slave trade in Africa and evaluate the consequences of the slave economy.
-Analyze the causes and effects of European colonization in Africa, including the motivations of European powers, the impact on African societies, and the redrawing of political boundaries.
-Evaluate a modern environmental, social and economic issue in Latin America and strategies to help solve it.
