Lesson Objective

After rereading and discussing a model of close reading, students will be able to compare and contrast a fictional portrayal of a time and place and a historical account of the same period as a means of understanding how authors of fiction use or alter history.

Have I looked at the words of each character, as well as what the characters do, to help me determine the theme of each work?
