Unit 1: COURSE DESCRIPTION

Grade 6 Band Accelerated is an introductory music course for students who are ready to progress at a faster pace.

Students learn the fundamentals of playing a wind or percussion instrument, including proper posture, tone production, music reading, rhythm, and ensemble skills.

This course emphasizes increased musical challenge, strong practice habits, teamwork, and confidence through group rehearsals and performances.
