Students will play simple rhythms and notes together, learning to listen and blend with others.

Introduces group playing and basic ensemble skills, including listening and following a leader.

Students may play too loudly or focus only on themselves.
Students may struggle to keep time with the group.

Have students clap or count rhythms before playing.
Advanced students can play a simple harmony or add dynamic variation.
