Focuses on the foundational skill of producing sound, emphasizing proper technique and airflow.

Students may think blowing harder produces a better sound.
Students may not understand the importance of lip vibration (buzzing).

Provide mouthpiece-only exercises for beginners.
Advanced students can try simple pitch variations or long-tone exercises.
