Unit 1: COURSE DESCRIPTION

Grade 6 Band is an introductory music course designed for students with little or no prior experience on a band instrument.

Students learn the fundamentals of playing a wind or percussion instrument, including proper posture, tone production, music reading, rhythm, and ensemble skills. Emphasis is placed on developing good practice habits, teamwork, and confidence through group rehearsals and performances.
