Concert Choir 6 is an introductory class for students who are new to choir and interested in learning the basics of healthy singing, including posture, breathing, tone, and pitch. They will practice singing together as a group while building confidence in their voices.

Students will be introduced to basic music reading skills such as rhythm, melody, and musical symbols. The class will learn choral music literacy and basic score reading by exploring a variety of songs from different musical styles and cultures.

Students will demonstrate their learning by actively participating in rehearsals and applying basic singing techniques such as good posture, proper breathing, clear tone, and accurate pitch. They will also show progress through simple music-reading activities, rhythm exercises, and practicing their assigned vocal parts. The main demonstration of learning will be through performing prepared songs at school concerts and community events.
