Lesson Objective

After rereading and discussing a model of close reading, students will be able to cite textual evidence to support an analysis of what the text says explicitly, as well as draw inferences from the text.

1.What inference can you make about this class? Is it interesting? Challenging? Unusual? Something else?
2.Now, look around the classroom. Which pieces of textual evidence-posters, writing on the board, books, student assignments-support your inference?
