After reading and discussing a model of close reading, students will be able to identify the author’s use of a particular point of view in a work of fiction to achieve a specific purpose.

2.Who tells the story? Is it one of the characters? Or is the narrator a person on the outside who tells the story from the perspective of one or more characters?
