This unit builds Command of Evidence and Analysis in History/Social Studies contexts—specifically the ability to observe a process, identify a pivot point in an argument (or strategy), and synthesize a new solution.
DOK Level: Level 3 (Strategic Thinking) and Level 4 (Extended Thinking) as students must adapt to changing constraints.
Air Traffic Control or Surgical Teams, where precise verbal communication is a matter of safety.
Students often think "leadership" means being the loudest person in the circle.
Provide "Role Cards" (e.g., Timekeeper, Encourager, Skeptic) to give structured responsibilities to quieter students.
The 3-2-1 Exit Ticket: 3 things they learned about their peers, 2 ways they contributed, and 1 strategy they will use in a future job interview.
