Lesson Objective

Students will focus an entire session on a single muscle group to achieve "total exhaustion" and understand the necessity of ample rest.

Why does this method require "6 days in between workouts" for a specific body part?

Muscle Failure, Overtraining, DOMS (Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness), Split Routine, Recovery Window, Isolation Exercise.

Standard 4: Exhibits responsible personal and social behavior that respects self and others. (Focusing on self-regulation and monitoring personal limits).

(DOK 1) State two benefits and two negatives of the "One Body Part Per Day" method.
(DOK 2) Predict the impact on muscle recovery if a student attempts this high-intensity method without proper nutrition.

This method is the ultimate lesson in "total exhaustion" and recovery. It teaches students the importance of planning, as "one day missed means an entire muscle group missed" for the week.

Provide variations of each exercise for differing levels of skill and development.

Students execute a "Leg Day" or "Chest Day" consisting of at least 5 different exercises for that specific group, documenting their fatigue levels.

Comprehensive weight room access, individualized workout logs.
