Yoga is a "toolbox" for life. High schoolers face intense stressors like exams and social pressure. Yoga teaches self-regulation (Standard 4). The ability to stay calm during a difficult balancing pose translates directly to staying calm during a difficult test or conflict. It promotes a "growth mindset" by focusing on personal progress rather than external competition.

Yoga is weird.

Using a variety of challenge levels.
Students can choose their own level of challenge.
Using blocks and straps to assist in certain poses.

Students will be able to identify specific poses.

Students can organize a sequence of yoga poses that flow smoothly.
