What is an STI?- Unserstand that an STi is an in faction that is passed from one person to another through sexual contact or sharing fluids.

The "hidden" Factor; understand that someone can have an STI without looking or feeling sick, which is why guessing about having an STI doesn't work.

Signs You Need Help:Recognize the basic warning signs that mean they should see a doctor (burning when peeing, unusual discharge, sores or bumps, etc)

Prevention: Review the importance of abstinence and barrier method contraceptives.

Symptom Reporting: practice clearly communicating about warning signs to a doctor.
interpret protection scenarios: Evaluate situations to determine if a behavior puts a persons health at risk.

The Safety Sort: Studetns are given a list of various behaviors and have to match the risk level (safe or risky)

The Doctors Visist: Students are given cards with symptoms written on them and they practice explaining their symptoms to the doctor.

Fact vs Rumor: the teacher will read statements (ie. you can tell if someone has an STI just by looking at them, etc) and students will hold a truth or rumor card to check for understanding.
