NRT.Q.1
CRP.11

Description: Students use a fixed budget (ex. $1,200) to "outfit" an empty apartment using IKEA catalogs and Facebook Marketplace, calculating sales tax on all new items.
Purpose: To practice multi-step addition and subtraction within a strict constraint, simulating the physical reality of moving.
DOK Level: 3

Support: Provide a "Starter Kit" list (Bed, Towels, Plates) so students don't have to brainstorm from scratch.
Extension: Calculate the "Delivery Fee" and "Assembly Time" as a hidden cost of new furniture.
