Students will be able to annotate a text.
Students will be able to dentify theme, character and figurative language and vocabulary in context in short stories.
Students will review short story elements, annotate a full short story using a common annotation guide and practice SQ3R.
Annotation guide practice for each story with a focus on literary element (ie theme) and study sync assessments at the end of each unit
