You and your group will teach about one of the following issues that effect education: justice, equity, diversity and inclusion.

What is the difference between justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion in the context of education?
How do these concepts interrelate, and why are they important for creating an inclusive learning environment?
How do race, socioeconomics, transgender identities, LGBTQ identities, and neurodivergence each impact student experiences in education?
How do classroom environments and curricula often reflect or reinforce social biases and inequalities?

Passage Analysis: Analyze excerpts from key texts, speeches, or court cases related to the history and evolution of education in the U.S


Vocabulary in Context:Study and apply vocabulary related to education, diversity, and social justice in reading passages and essays.


Evidence-Based Writing: Practice constructing well-supported arguments on topics such as the impact of societal and cultural factors on education, referencing historical documents, court cases, and educational policies.

Purpose: to be able to teach about a following issue: social justice, equity, diversity and inclusion

Description: In your small group, you will explore issues of justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion in education (race, socioeconomics, transgender, LGBTQ, and neurodivergence) and create a learning experience that engages all class members to teach about your issue

You will create a lesson plan for 30-45 minutes. Provide a web-based presentation (such as Google Slides or Canva) with a viewable link (click on the “Share” button) in the shared course folder prior to presenting.
