Students will apply a finish to their design for the project.

What would be the best choice for a finish for this project?

WM.03 Identify and describe the safe and appropriate use of various types of hand and power tools and machinery used for building.
WM.03.14 Select appropriate tools, procedures, and/or equipment.
WM.03.15 Follow laboratory safety rules and procedures.
WM.03.16 Demonstrate good housekeeping at a workstation within total laboratory.
WM.05 Describe and demonstrate the attributes of wood design.
WM.05.03 Design and create cabinet and wood products
Create a finished laminated hardwood cutting board. Allow students to demonstrate their ability to apply proper finish to their cutting board for a food safe surface.
Students will be able to finish their design that aligns to their own personal ability and comfort level.
They will be given the assistance needed to complete the task at hand.
Students will have a cutting board that has been oiled to the best of their ability.
