Lesson Objective

Students will demonstrate drafting fluency by completing four distinct 3-view drawings within a specific timeframe.

What shortcuts (Offset, Mirror, Copy) can be used to speed up the orthographic process?

How does "visualizing first" save time during the "drawing phase"?

Workflow Efficiency, Command Aliases, Production Drafting.

CT CADD.05.06: Demonstrate speed and proficiency in creating technical drawings.

This "Rapid-Fire" session covers Plates 1-15 to 1-20. Students are encouraged to use command aliases (L for Line, O for Offset) to complete drawings as if they were on a production floor.

Purpose: To build the stamina and software fluency required for professional certification.

DOK Level: 4 (Extended Thinking/Synthesis).

Set individual "Personal Best" time goals; allow students to work in pairs for "Pair Drafting" (one directs, one drives).

Progress check: Completion of a minimum of 3 plates within the allotted class period with 90% accuracy.
