Lesson 4: Multi-Part Labels and Leaders (Plate 1-7 & 1-8)

Lesson Objective
Students will utilize the MLEADER (Multi-Leader) tool to annotate and label an isometric assembly.
How do we keep leader lines from crossing each other and creating confusion?
Why is it important to align leaders at consistent angles?
V MLeader, Arrowhead, Callout, Assembly.
CT CADD.08.03: Demonstrate the use of leaders and notes.
Students finish Plates 1-7 and 1-8. Once the geometry is drawn, they will add "Callouts" to different parts of the object. They will learn to adjust the MLEADERSTYLE so the text is legible.
Purpose: To transition from "drawing an object" to "creating a technical document."
DOK Level: 3.
Provide a "Leader Placement Guide" showing the "Do's and Don'ts" of professional annotation.
Summative Evaluation: A multi-part assembly drawing in isometric view, properly labeled with at least 5 leaders.
