Lesson Objective

Students will use the Trim command and Multi-Leader tool to annotate complex internal features.

What is the difference between "Delete" and "Trim"?

How do Leaders help communicate notes that don't fit in a standard dimension?

Trim, Cutting Edge, Multi-Leader (MLEADER), Annotation.

CT CADD.08.03: Demonstrate the use of leaders and notes.

CT CADD.06.01: Use modify commands (Trim).

Students execute Plate 1-3. This plate requires complex intersecting circles that must be "cleaned" using TRIM. They will then use the TEXT and LEADER tools to label specific material callouts.

Purpose: To produce clean, "readable" technical drawings.

DOK Level: 3.

Provide a "Leader Style" preset so students can focus on placement rather than formatting.

Accuracy of the "Trim" points (no "orphaned" lines left behind).
