Students learn the "Alphabet of Lines." They will practice manual line-work, focusing on "weight" (lightness/darkness) to convey different parts of an object.

Purpose: To master the visual grammar essential for orthographic projection.

DOK Level: 1 (Recall and Reproduction).

Provide "traceable" sheets with varying line types; use tactile "raised line" samples to demonstrate thickness differences.

"Line ID Quiz" where students label line types on a professional-grade mechanical drawing.
