This introductory course will begin with the techniques of drafting. The theory of orthographic projections to achieve accurate shape and size description will be presented along with techniques. Problems solved on ?the board? will then be completed on the computer using the CADD system. Daily work assignments will be used to reinforce the basics of drawing through the use of traditional and modern drafting techniques. Emphasis will be placed on the development of skills involving precision, accuracy, construction, and proportion for the performance of fundamental tasks. Basic vocational and career opportunities will be discussed.
