The students will know the core editing tools in Adobe Premiere,.
How to apply transitions and pacing in editing.
How to adjust audio levels and cleanup background noise.
Core Tools: Mastering the toolbar, including the Ripple Edit, Rolling Edit, and Slip tools.
Transitions & Pacing: Applying video transitions and adjusting clip timing (speed changes, slow motion, and freeze-frames).
Audio Engineering: Syncing audio/video, adjusting volume levels, and cleaning background noise using Essential Sound.
Titling & Graphics: Creating animated titles, lower-thirds, and "logo bugs".
Edit a 30-second "Interview Highlight."
- Sync & Clean: Import an interview clip, tag it as Dialogue, and use Repair to clean the audio.
- The Tighten-Up: Use the Ripple Edit tool to remove "umms" and "ahhs" without leaving black gaps.
- Visual Polish: Add one Slow Motion B-roll clip of the subject working.
- Identify: Add a Lower-Third graphic with the subject’s name and title.
- The Mix: Add background music and use Ducking so the voice is always clear.
