Preschool Subject Areas – The purpose and content of each area of the preschool classroom (e.g., math, literacy, art, science, social-emotional development).
Age-Appropriate Activities – How to design activities that match preschoolers’ developmental levels.
Behavior Guidance – Strategies for guiding preschoolers toward expected behaviors to keep the classroom running smoothly.
Multidisciplinary Connections – How to integrate multiple subject areas into one cohesive experience.
Field Trip Planning – How to plan a field trip that reinforces classroom learning and addresses multiple learning domains.
Students will be able to create a preschool lesson plan using the correct format.
Students will develop lesson plans for each area of the preschool classroom while learning and understanding what each subject entails.
Students will conclude the unit by planning a multidisciplinary field trip that integrates the concepts learned.
Students will demonstrate their learning by creating preschool lesson plans for each classroom area and applying developmentally appropriate activities for each learning center. They will also design a multidisciplinary field trip that integrates multiple subjects, showing their understanding of lesson planning and classroom management.
