This college level course introduces students to early childhood education with emphasis on historical perspectives, theories, teaching practices and current trends in the preschool classroom. This course covers aspects of a developing child from birth through age eight. Observation hours in a preschool classroom are required. Students are dually enrolled in this class as high school students and Middlesex students with a chance to earn 3 college credits. These credits can be used at Middlesex or can be transferred to another college.
