Students will distinguish countries of the Central and Middle East
What is the geography and water ways specific to
each region?
How is the geography and climate affecting the cuisine of the region?
Island, Peninsula, River, Sea, Bay, Gulf, Cape, Ocean, Continent, Country, Territory,
NCTM Geometry-Use visualization, spatial reasoning, and geometric modeling to solve problems.
Students label all components of a map.
The purpose is to building their geographical awareness.
1 Labeling individual parts of a map.
Student have a better understanding of what states, providences, and territories are located in each continent.
Students have limited knowledge geographical awareness.
Student can be given a word bank.
Students will take a pretest of all of the countries of the world at the beginning of the class. Then, complete a post test of all of the countries of the world at the end of the class.
Map, geography, and climate questions are embedded in end of the unit assessments.
