Unit 9: Cookies

Students will understand the various methods and processes for cookies and brownies. Students will know how to select a quality cookie recipe. Students will know how to describe, analyze and evaluate a cookie.

Students will select a recipe featuring each cookie type. Students will engage in learning the theory behind a high quality cookie. Students will prepare, cut, and doctorate a variety of cookie types. Students will know how to describe, analyze and evaluate a cookie.

Students will complete a cookie recipe project.  Students will understand the various makeup methods for preparing cookies as they participate in labs. Students will describe, analyze, and evaluate all of the cookies prepared in the cookie unit.
