Lesson Objective
Students will demonstrate the proper weight and volume measuring techniques using a scale, dry and liquid measuring equipment. Students will know how to adjust the yield of a recipe using the correct formula.
How do I weigh and measure accurately? How do I determine new recipe/ratio amounts if the recipe yield greatly increases or decreases.

Students will accurately identify dry and liquid equipment.
Students will identify specific measurements on a liquid measuring cup.
Students will recall various math abbreviations and equivalents.
Students will demonstrate when to properly use dry or liquid measuring cups.
Students can self-assess if they properly measured a cup of flour using a scale.
Students will confidently adjust recipes to produce smaller or larger quantities of a recipe in a home or work environment.
Visuals of measurement infographics provided. Students will be given multiple opportunities to practice equivalent measuring with water and or flour using dry and liquid measuring cups and spoons.
