Students will identify the popular sports and free time activities among young people in Italy compared to those of the United States.

Students will use and build upon previous learning of regular and irregular present tense verbs to talk about (both written and orally) the sports and activities they do in their free time. They will use new vocabulary to compare their preferences with peers as well as young people in Italy. Students will be able to inquire and discuss their after school, weekend, and free time plans in the target language.

Using present tense grammar and information from the unit, students will conduct interviews of classmates as well as engage with authentic resources to discover what others do in their free time, what sports they play, etc, to produce their own infographics (bar graph style) displaying this information in the target language.
