Unit 6: Hispanic Identities in North America

The history and cultural contributions of Mexican, Puerto Rican, and Cuban populations in the US and Canada; the diverse genres of Hispanic music (Salsa, Tejano, Rock); and the evolution of "Latinx" identities in a North American context.

Research and present on the migration patterns and cultural impact of specific Hispanic groups; analyze authentic essays and musical lyrics as cultural artifacts; and reflect on the intersection of multiple cultural identities.
