Description
This section centers on a short film about an unexpected encounter between two former partners, Alicia and Javi, in a city coffee shop. The narrative is driven by the tension between their past history and their current lives, requiring students to interpret non-verbal cues, subtext, and complex dialogue regarding personal relationships. The film serves as a practical application of vocabulary for personality traits and the communication of feelings in a realistic, high-stakes scenario.

Purpose
The purpose of this film is to move students from isolated vocabulary practice to advanced interpersonal analysis.

DOK 1: Recall Identify the characters' current emotional states (e.g., nervioso, sorprendido) and list the physical items mentioned in the coffee shop setting.
DOK 2: Skill/Concept Summarize the main conflict of the film and describe the personality traits of Alicia and Javi using "porque..." to provide evidence from their conversation.
DOK 3: Strategic Thinking Analyze the "unsaid" elements of the dialogue; explain how the characters' feelings about their past relationship influence their current behavior and body language.
DOK 4: Extended Thinking Predict the future of these characters' personal relationships by writing a sequel scene or a "missed connection" letter that uses the unit's grammar to narrate in the past and express complex future desires.
