Students will understand the vocabulary and grammatical structures necessary to discuss physical health, fitness, and medical history.

Vocabulary (Contextos): They will know terms for symptoms and illnesses (la fiebre, la gripe, la tos), healthy habits (hacer gimnasia, la nutrición, mantenerse en forma), and emotional states (agotado, estresado, aliviado).

Cultural Products: They will learn about the role of the "Tertulia" or social gatherings in mental health, and the influence of the Mediterranean diet in Spanish-speaking countries.

Grammar (Estructura):

The Present Perfect: Discussing what they "have done" recently for their health (He comido bien).

The Past Perfect (Pluscuamperfecto): Sequencing past events (Ya había hecho yoga antes de desayunar).

The Present Perfect Subjunctive: Expressing feelings about past actions (Me alegro de que hayas ido al gimnasio).

Students will move from identifying body parts to managing their own health narratives and advising others.

Interpretive: They will analyze medical advice columns, wellness blogs, and literary texts like García Márquez’s "Un día de estos" to understand the intersection of health and social power.

Interpersonal: They will act as "Health Coaches," interviewing classmates about their daily routines and offering critiques or encouragement using the Present Perfect.

Presentational: They will present a "Personal Wellness Plan," explaining what habits they have changed over the last year and what they had previously failed to do.

Phonetic: They will master the "b" and "v" (Ortografía), ensuring they produce the correct bilabial sounds and don't fall into the trap of English "v" aspiration.
