• Spell my name and other common words

• Interview a classmate and find out basic information about him/her, including age and school classes
• Ask and answer questions about objects in my classroom and class schedules
• Identify a few classroom expressions in Spanish
• Talk about my school schedule, classes, and teachers

-Use vocabulary related to greeting new acquaintances and saying my name
-Spell my name and other common words
-Identify difference between Spanish and English alphabets
-Use personal pronouns and verb ser to say where I and other
people are from
-Use numbers 0-30
-Say how old I am using Tener…años
-Use the verb HAY in simple statements and questions
-Practice asking “how many” of something there are
-Use vocabulary related to naming a few classroom objects
-Use vocabulary related to talking about classes and school schedules
-Talk about the days of the week
-Identify a few facts about the Spanish language and culture in the U.S.
-Culture: names of hispanic foods, Salvadorians in Washington D.C
