Unit 1: Legislative Process
Duration of Days: 10
Students will know the legislative process at the national and state level with a focus on the state of Connecticut.
Students will investigate how bills become laws and in the process develop a bill for the Youth and Government program.
Students will complete a bill and backup the need for the bill with facts and figures that will be developed into an opening and closing statement that will be presented at the annual Youth and Government conference.
