Unit 1: Visualizing the World

Student will be able to understand the definition of geography and the general terms that apply to geography.
Students will be able to locate places and navigate using scale, distance, direction, relative location, absolute location, legend, orientation, and latitude and longitude.
Students will apply vocabulary terms from classroom discussion and use these terms for future assignments.
Students will have a series of guided notes, a review section and finally an open-note quiz on the material of this section.
