“Analyze factors that influenced individual and group perspectives about national identity both during and as a result of the Civil War (e.g., Copperheads, Republicans, Wide Awakes, Unionists, women in the industrial workforce).”

Students will take and pass the Civil War quiz assessment with an 85% or more.

Instruction will be differentiated to support diverse learning needs through the use of modified or scaffolded questions, reduced answer choices when appropriate, and structured vocabulary support through a guided vocabulary sheet. Students who require additional support will receive materials in smaller sections (e.g., one page at a time) to help maintain focus and reduce cognitive load. Extended time will also be provided as needed to ensure all students have adequate opportunity to complete the activity and demonstrate understanding.
