This college preparatory course provides an in-depth study of American history with emphasis placed on advanced concepts. Students will study the position of the United States in world affairs, and students will investigate, analyze, and evaluate data. This course, usually taken in 10th grade, will assist students in the acquisition of knowledge and an appreciation for the heritage of democracy. In this advanced course, students will explore the past through today's world, and acquire an understanding of the duties, rights and responsibilities of citizenship.
