The purpose of this topic is to give students the factual evidence and resources needed to make a complex argument about economic history based on their own research. Therefore, it calls on many aspects of DOK 3 and 4.

The most basic understanding should be a demonstration of the experiments in relief, recovery, and reform attempted by the Roosevelt Administration in the 1930s. After this students should be able to evaluate their effect, and eventually identify ways in which similar experiments could or would have an impact on contemporary economic issues.
