Students will read chapter 19: Democracy in America in "Give me Liberty" and complete 10 pages of notes.
They will participate in a classroom discussion of this chapter and complete a quiz on the key terms.
What factors drove U.S. entry into World War I?
• How did Wilson’s call for “keeping the world safe for democracy” play a part in U.S. involvement in the war and in
postwar negotiations?
• What were Wilson’s hopes for postwar negotiations, and were they realized (why or why not)?
